More about this list

No chess café, park table or adult club evening has turned up in Yerevan, so a game against a stranger is found at a tournament. The Tigran Petrosian Chess House on Khanjyan Street is the main hall: the Armenian Chess Association holds its championship, Sunny Chess and many qualification events there, and the Yerevan Open is played in its rooms. The Chess Academy Club organises tournaments at the Academy on Shevchenko Street.

Friend's House on Isahakyan Street hosts a blitz tournament at five minutes plus three seconds a few times a year, and the Nork Armenian Children's House runs a rapid series with quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. Ground Zero Venture Café holds a grandmaster simultaneous on International Chess Day each July, with registration. An interactive chessboard in Charles Aznavour Square is known only from a news item of 2013. The tournaments that make up most of this list are grouped apart from the venues.
