Where children learn chess in Yerevan 15

Almost every chess school in Yerevan is first of all a school for children and teenagers, and the Armenian names of the municipal schools say so: they are children's and youth sports schools for chess. Each district school takes pupils from its own part of the city and enters them in the qualification tournaments it organises, published on the tournament server, through which a young player moves up the chess categories.

The Chess Academy of Armenia on Shevchenko Street runs free groups for children aged four to eighteen six days a week, with admission by registration, and organises youth memorials and a Street Chess series in city squares and parks. The Tigran Petrosian Chess House is the setting of many children's events, and in Kotayk the chess school of Abovyan holds province youth championships.
